'Going home just might not be an option soon,' student says about proposed N.B. highway tolls
People on both sides of the Northumberland Strait are raising concerns about New Brunswick's plans for a toll highway near the Nova Scotia border. They say it's just another expense, but the government says it will help maintain critical infrastructure. CBC’s Wayne Thibodeau explains.

Lighting sucks but I never fail to laugh when I see this image. It is a very big beach, lots of red sand close to us, which turns into seaweed farther out, as you can see. High tide, these lads would be over their heads. Low tide, water navigations between a bay (right) to the river (left) is by this narrow channel of water, well marked by those sticks.

These lads apparently weren't familiar with the beach when they left in the morning. :)

A volunteer fire department in rural Nova Scotia was left with a bizarre logistics problem this month when someone drove a white Hyundai Accent onto the frozen Northumberland Strait and abandoned it about three kilometres from shore.
