Riggsville Road is a main artery in Cheboygan County connecting Cheboygan Michigan to Pellston Michigan. Its upper rural Midwestern America in all it's beauty and glory.
Large expanses of land dotted with farmhouses and barns scattered around the rolling hills. Hard working people live out here and a few crazies too.

The Gray Barn out on Riggsville Road is iconic to me, as is Riggsville Road.
This structure fits into the surrounding area as well as any other farm house or out building. The acreage is large as the land is cheap.
Life is simple out here and you need to keep things basic. Good hardworking people live out here on Riggsville Road.

Horton Bay General Store II

The Horton Bay General Store is located in Northern Michigan and is located on the Boyne City/Charlevoix Road in the village of Horton Bay. The village is so small that most people might not even know that they are in a village as the population of Horton Bay is a big 38 living souls.

I don't know what time power went out last night, but Consumers Energy says it will be restored by 9am tomorrow. I am hoping that it comes up sooner than that, but with 95.4% of the county out, I doubt it.

Looking outside there are branches all over the road. But our lines directly in front of us are fine. Covered in ice, but still hanging on. Just about everything in the county is closed today.

Harbor Springs Michigan
