So we ended up driving into #ProvidenceRI last night to check out the Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Bridge, then walk up to the Waterfire festivities. I'm surprised we hadn't heard of this cool bridge before yesterday! It was a very nice excursion, but fireworks were still too audible in the distance for Kyra to tolerate well, so we walked back to the car and went home for dinner.

After dinner, with fireworks still popping off in the neighborhood, we drove out to Compass Rose Beach down in #NorthKingstownRI. That was *very* nice. Still some audible fireworks, but distant enough this time that Kyra could handle it. It was a very peaceful evening for all three of us. I'm glad they don't actually close the gate at dusk like their sign states they do!

Also glad we didn't arrive earlier as we caught a group packing up from what looked to be a *very* large private party with fireworks.
