thoroughly enjoyed my experience at #NordicGameJam this year, and 100% want to go back next year. I’ve never before felt so free to be my nerdy self with pink hair and pronouns, in the middle of the day, for days in a row.
My highlights include cat ears & cat pictures in talks, being able to feel confident in my ability to work in csharp with #godot in the future, me turning heads wherever I walked (euphoria?), and people being nice about using my chosen name. 🩷

Finnish Game Jam ry is proud to announce our seventh jam scholarship -- and our first one since COVID! In collaboration with Nordic Game Jam we are sending up to two jammers to Copenhagen to the wonderful Nordic Game Jam (https://www.nordicgamejam.com/). The jam will take place on the 3-6 April 2025. To make the trip easy, we are awarding two jammers a ticket and a 300EUR for travel expenses. We are looking for prominent jammers willing to represent Finnish game jamming scene and bring back the lessons learned to the community. The candidate for the scholarship is selected based on the applications sent prior to Sunday 16 March 2035 23:59 (GMT +3). A great applicant has participated to at least one FGJ game jam between 2010-2025 and has a broad experience on game jams in Finland (and/or elsewhere) as well as an interesting portfolio of game jam projects. Finnish Game Jam ry will offer a scholarship, which includes: - 1 ticket to the jam - 300 eur for *travel and accommodation expenses* (will be paid after the trip in return for receipts sent within two weeks of the trip and a travel report – participant will book their traveling tickets and accommodation by him/herself) As a great applicant: - You have experience on game jams and have a record of interesting game jam projects. - You are over 18 years old. - You are a great team player. - You have been participating to at least one Finnish Game Jam event between 2010-2025. The applicant will commit to: - Travel to and participate in the Nordic Game Jam as part of a game jam team. - Meet with Jeanette Falk during the Nordic Game Jam and discuss how you might be able to contribute to the ICGJ (see last year's site: https://icgj24.gameconf.org/) - Write a short travel report (including photos) of the jam to be published at the Finnish Game Jam website (see an example here: http://www.finnishgamejam.com/jam-report-train-jam-2016/), latest 2 weeks after the event. - Cover the rest of the travel and accommodation costs. The applicants are notified via email latest on the 23 March, and the selected candidate is required to confirm their participation within two days from the notification, after which the scholarship is handed to the next in line. One of my all time favorite #NordicGameJam posters. I don't know that many people who have the shirt - It was the year after that I did my first one Nordic Game Jam.
Anyone who knows who made it?
A good talk about breaking your cultural paradigms.
Well, well, well, if it ain't the Nordic Game Jam comin' to Copenhagen in April again.
Got myself a ticket for Nordic Game Jam 2023! 💪🏻 Who's going??
