I got to the "life is too short and love is too long" part in my Nona the Ninth re-read on the train home from work, and NO I'M NOT CRYING ON THE METRORAIL

Henlo nice people!!
Oh what burden, to make a first post!
Uh, not really a first post, as I replied to my welcome
Maybe then, if I decide that was my first post here, I can just say anything in this one
Uhh,,, I just finished #NonatheNinth in #TheLockedTomb series and it was so good, if anyone wants to I'm open to discuss it (or the whole series)!

Nona the Ninth, by Tamsyn Muir.
#TheLockedTomb
#NonaTheNinth
I reread Gideon the Ninth, first in the series, and was deeply impressed by the many clues and foreshadowing that run through it, knitting it all tight together, that I missed the first time through, because of course that time I did not know where we were heading.
I'm mostly puzzled by books two and three, but I am trusting we end up somewhere that in retrospect will have been inevitable, and I love the characters
One of my favourite things about the Locked Tomb series (by Tamsyn Muir) is that God is canonically a kiwi.
I wished I’d used the fucking conspiracy theorists instead of the cows. Nobody would’ve cared if I’d turned people inside-out who think vaccines have nanites in them that mine cryptocurrency. But cows watch sunsets, man!
Needs-no-context QOTD:
“It’s never too late to be confused and pick up The Locked Tomb today”
What the Alectopause does to a bitch

also i think it’d be fun if The Angel were played by J. Smith-Cameron.
I’m in the middle of reading Nona the Ninth and wouldn’t Nona be such an amazing role to act in? I fancast a lot of books i read and i have no idea who i’d have play her! A young Tatiana Maslany, perhaps?
(no spoilers in the replies, please)
