Mother covers 144 hours of care a week for disabled son

A mother says a lack of carers means she spends 144 hours a week looking after her disabled son.

I demonstrated supported feeding and toileting, and helping her to let go of toys, not taking them from her, chatting to her, explaining to her what will happen next etc etc.

If nursing home staff do not do these things, how can any disabled person thrive in a nursing home?
