Spoiler-free 10-second movie review: "The Thursday Murder Club" (2025)
It's very good, and has an incredible cast. Legitimately ticks the drama, comedy, mystery, and thriller boxes. It suffers a bit from its Hollywood influence (it's a British-US co-production) because Hollywood *has* to dumb everything down, so it's not quite "excellent", but still enjoyable.
Recommended.

Spoiler-free 10-second movie review: "The Cottage" (2008)
A British dark comedy that has the flavour of "Coen Brothers meet Tarantino and run over Guy Ritchie in a Land Rover". Great cast. It plays with a lot of tropes and cliches and different genres. I found it hilarious.

Spoiler-free 10-second movie review: "Shelter" (2026)
It's a Jason Statham action movie; you already know if you want to see it. Uses a well-trodden storyline, but does a good job of it. Cast is good and characters likeable. Bring #popcorn.

Spoiler-free 10 second movie review: "Code 3" (2025)
Fantastic; drama, comedy, thriller, but mostly because it feels *real*. I will remember this film decades after I've forgotten the last Disney or Marvel POS I saw. The cast are all excellent, but Rainn Wilson gives the performance of his life.
See it.

This week's episode has a lot of echoes from Wrath of Khan, Blade Runner, and Empire Strikes Back. And it's still Trek to the core. That is all.
