I have a rather involved custom sign at my front door that goes beyond No Soliciting to cover other related door-to-door annoyances, including flyers/hangers. It seems The Feds (& their contractors) consider themselves exempt.
I have no idea which of my neighbors is trying for a security clearance, but leave me out of it. And take your litter with you!

What can/should I do about a solicitor wandering around my apartment building knocking on doors? I called one of the building managers but he's not on site right now. Any other options?

Please don't solicit or reward requests for #Boosts.

This is a small but insidious debasement of trust and quality wwithin the Fediverse.

I'm still trying to put my finger on just /why/ this is bad, so I'm trusting my gut, mostly. If you look at dana boyd's work, especially on 4chan in Jan/Feb 2018 on Medium, there's much in there.

Meantime, I'm reporting & blocking those requesting boosts, and unfollowing those reboosting them.

Boosting on merit is absolutely OK.

Be good.
