I like how rivers and seas are often used as psychological metaphors.
Here's a fantastic song by NoMeansNo likening the river with the course of human life and it's hardships (at least how I interpret it).

So anyhooze, someone wrote a book about my old band NoMeansNo. Go figure. A sign that my youth is well & truly a thing of the past, haha!
It’s the story of the band told by the band members, people who knew us and fans of the band as well. Lots of stories, trivia and pix. And a forward by Fred Armisen no less! Published by Oakland's PM Press.
As of today, there’s a Kickstarter for it (pre-order too). The book should be out in early '24.
