NonilexLast Tues, the shelter began offering the #birds for #adoption, but only a few hundred out of thousands have been picked up. There is no complete count of the #chicks, as the shelter has no feasible way to do so, but Parana estimates there to be more than two thousand available.
Some have inquired about buying the birds for meat, but, as a #NoKillShelter & #SPCA, those were refused.
RamenCatholic ๐ข๐To me, it means thinking about starting an unofficial #QuakerQueernessCommittee for #Quakers to support #LGBTQIA2S plus persons & the #Queer community.
It also means pretending that I'm going to win the lottery, then build a #SolarPunk #EcoVillage where folk can live a life that aligns with #Quaker values. Affordably.

#1๏ธโฃSo we, uh, found a #dog. So far no owner has surfaced. No tags, no chip, not neitered. We think (and this is reinforced by the vet's experience) he's an dumped hunting dog.
We're taking him to a #NoKillShelter on Sunday if no owner turns up.
This is the first dog we've found with no tags or chip, but he's the _fourth_ lost dog we've found in a month in our neighborhood.
Spay, neuter, chip and tag your dogs, people.
