I think a sidekick is someone who is by your side supporting you, even if you don't want or like it.
Of the 2024 dramas, I thought Nam Ja Yeon (Han Ji Hyun) in "No Gain, No Love" was a great sidekick for Son Hae Yeong (Shin Min Ah). She provided a family, a voice of reason, & made Son Hae Yeong realize things about her life. And she had her own great story line too.

29-Jan: Funniest Scene?
Although there were many, many funny scenes in "No Gain No Love," the 2 with the gift box of items from around the world (the discovery of the box, & the contents of the box being used for self-defense) had me in tears from laughing so hard (Star Wars!!)
I guess different streamers censored the contents in various ways - from blurring them to adding sombreros & the dialogue varied somewhat, but overall, hilarious!

End of the Year Drama Challenge Day 21: A drama you will rewatch in the future?
Haven’t finished it yet, but if it holds up through the end, I will probably rewatch #NoGainNoLove one of these days. It has the elements that make me want to go back — it’s funny and the characters are lovable.

Bok Gyu-hyeon (Lee Sang-yi) in #NoGainNoLove
The third generation chaebol made weak and insecure by over-demanding and disaffectionate parents.
The strong mother figure turned him into a puppet, but he ended up as the hero saving his loved one at the end of the drama.

That’s No Gain No Love finished. Another one I am sad to see end despite it being frustrating at times. It ended just how I had hoped too. I’m going to watch Spice Up Our Love next, so it is still fresh in my mind. #NoGainNoLove #SpiceUpOurLove #KDrama
