I received a phone call from a law office yesterday. Apparently when my mother passed away she left me property that she owned with my dad. The law office contacted me to ask me to take my name off the deed. I've been #nocontact with my parents for over 5 years now. I honestly don't remember if I've been told about this property at all.

Would it be worth fighting them on this? Is it worth going to court to get my dad's name off the deed? It would be amazing to get some extra cash from the sale of this property. The property in question has been for sale since December, but my parents didn't contact me until now and even that contact was through a secretary...

Hey man, I don’t know if you need to hear this, but if you’ve gone #NoContact with toxic family members, I know that today can be especially difficult, bringing feelings of #guilt and #SelfDoubt, as well as pressure from others to re-expose yourself to #abuse because “we’re family, and it’s #Christmas.” I just want you to know that #holiday sentiments are only that, & don’t justify toxicity & abuse.
