Note to self. Check out #nocodb again and also #docmost

I was trying to look for a self-hosted spreadsheet and I return defeated.

#NocoDB at the end of the onboarding surprises with a quiz which slop extruders you know.

#Grist: third feature is an «“AI” “Assistant”» and later OpenRouter.

#Baserow: branded “AI” “assistant”

#Directus: MCP upfront

#undb: .cursor

#Rowy: whatever the fuck is this shit in the image attached.

Did I just step into some data-driven “AI” Hell™?

How about “no”, #nocodb
I just noticed #Grist attachment is not so reliable as say #Airtable or #Nocodb. Pasting into a cell from a screenshot from the clipboard, for example, replaces any existing attachment. Plus, how come there's no indication how many attachments you have in the field for that record? #GetGrist
@royal @grist #Grist #GetGrist is probably the most underrated low-code tool out there. Not #Airtable. Not #NoCoDB. Not #BaseRow. Etc.

Well that was fun! I got the NocoDB install running and it seems that there is a bug right now that prevents creating a base, which is pretty much step 1.

Testing out NocoDB again (self-hosted) and I guess I'm glad they have a "None of the above" option in the startup survey...
