Yet again pissed off that my care company/The UK Gov believes it's cool to make clients pay double rates for days that aren't actually bank holidays. So this weekend they charge us double for FOUR WHOLE DAYS!
We, ofc, can't afford it, so have to cancel half our calls!
This is a prime example of what our care system looks like, and this care reciever just can't. 😭 💔

This is just another example of how horribly broken and harmful the care system is! It enriches and protects the rich and powerful whilst endangering and traumatising the vulnerable #disabled & elderly clients trapped in it's clutches.

Can I send the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present & Future to my UK Care company, who, in a serious Scrooge move, sent us email yesterday informing us that hourly charges for my at home care are getting a HUGE hike in Feb.
They couldn't even wait till *after* Xmas to lump stress on clients - even thou the rise doesn't start for over a month!!!
The letter also stated there will be a further rise within another few short few months!
