ChronocidePlayed Wave Race 64 today after who knows how many years. Always had fond memories of it but was genuinely surprised how well it holds up today. Despite it only having 8 total tracks, the way the tracks are designed / difficulty is handled makes it feel really varied. Even the simplicity of the level design / character selection doesn't feel cheap / limited. Equally got a whole new appreciation for the technical side of it. The waves and controls just feel really good. Looks very pretty too. Honestly wonder if there's any modern games like it?
