Today I got up early,
And did the bins.
Then went to an audiology appointment,
And had my hearing tested.
Popped back to meet Sue at work,
And then back home for a quick brew.
Took Mum to her appointment,
And then back for lunch.
Sorted out car insurance,
And went to the car dealer.
Did the deed,
And handed over Bugsy.
Drove the EV home,
And then was stuck in the car until the downpour stopped.
Did caretaking,
And bins at work.
Had a chat with Mum,
And made sure she is ok.
Had Spam, eggs and chips for dinner,
Today instead of Friday.
Reading the car handbook,
But none the wiser on some things.
Very tired now,
Time for bed.

Today we got up early,
And took Mum shopping.
Then we drove down to Northenden,
And delivered some roadworks barriers.
Monitored the repair work to drains,
Great watching muck getting moved.
Home to check over Bugsy,
Tyre pressure warning came on.
Checked all the wheels,
Nothing wrong.
Did caretaking work,
And sent some long emails.
Watched TV,
And a few videos.
Tired now,
Busier day tomorrow.

Today I got up early,
Just as well as I forgot to prepare breakfast!
I abandoned clearing my basement workshop,
And found a self storage facility in Wales instead.
I made a phone call to them,
And spoke to a Welsh lady there.
Took a load of stuff to a charity shop,
And then bought some groceries from Sainsbury's.
I packed a load of my books,
and now have three blue tote crates in the bedroom.
Did caretaking,
And picked up some roadworks barriers.
Then had a early dinner,
and went out to miniatures club.
It was very busy there,
a lot of potential new members.
Now home and very peopled out.
Time for a shower,
And off to bed.

Today we had eggs for breakfast,
As is tradition.
Then I put laundry in the machine,
And got that washed, dried, and put away.
I tried to get some welding done,
Fitting mesh sides on the old trailer.
Each time I tried I made it rain,
When I ignored the rain it hailed instead!
Did a load of research,
And asking questions about EV charging.
Signed up for Electroverse,
And found some local charging stations.
Caught up on a few videos,
But my brain has gone on strike.
Guess it must be bed time,
So off to sleep I go.

Today we looked out for the rain to stop,
And we went out when it did.
I wanted to look at an electric car,
It was 20 miles west.
The car was good enough,
And a better price than expected.
Arranged a part ex for Bugsy,
That was a bit sad.
Home to get Bugsy ready,
And take out all my random stuff.
Cleared the satnav data,
And removed my tunes.
Bugsy still has work to do,
Despite being demob happy.
We'll exchange cars on Wednesday,
So getting admin done.
Annoying that Bugsy has a tank full of diesel,
And a new AGM battery.
But time to move on from fossil fuels,
Though still keeping Scout.
Had dinner with Mum,
And watched a few videos.
But mentally exhausted,
And time to get some sleep.

Today I packed some tools,
And the makings of a large lunch.
I met Sue at work,
And cleaned the church.
Then we went to the Community Workshop,
And carried on sorting the woodshed.
Then met up with a cool friend,
She arrived in her big van.
I cooked us all lunch,
And we had a great catch up chat.
I made a couple of phone calls,
And then finished up the work.
Popped into Lidl,
Just for a few groceries.
Did caretaking,
And cleaned the Meeting House.
Then got out some steel fencing mesh,
And cut out sides for the old trailer.
It is to stop scrap falling out,
Don't want to lose potential pennies.
Had a natter with Mum,
And then shower and food.
Caught up with some videos,
Too peopled out for much else.
Tired now,
Off to bed.

Today we loaded some tools and timber,
And went to the Community Workshop.
We started clearing out the wood store,
And tidying up the storage.
Advised folks on stripping varnish, mitre joints, and bowling balls,
And drank tea.
Tested my winch wiring,
It worked fine.
Did some research,
Still pondering switching to an EV.
Did caretaking,
And nattering with Mum.
Then took part in MakersHour,
And put together a packed lunch for tomorrow.

I cleaned the church,
And did the bins there too.
Then we decided to run away,
And drove up to Morecambe.
We bought fish and chips,
To eat by the seafront.
All day I also had work emails,
Arranging some drain works in Northenden.
Then we walked along the prom one way,
And then walked along the other way.
We had tea and snacks,
Before heading home.
Did the bins at work,
And did caretaking.
I fitted the winch control box to the trailer,
And connected it to the winch.
I still haven't tested it yet,
That will be a tomorrow job.
Had a natter with Mum.
Then shower and dinner.
Caught up with some videos,
And a bit of recorded TV.
Tired now,
So off to bed.

Today we took Mum shopping,
Then got her a GP appointment.
Then did a tip trip,
And cleared another car load.
Hitched up Scout to the trailer,
And sold more metals to the scrap yard.
The money was spent on a tank of fuel for Bugsy,
And the cost of a car wash!
Took some fluorescent lights to be recycled,
And bought a little plastic box.
Did a load of fiddly heavy guage wiring,
To make up the winch control box.
That was no fun at all,
And I really need to clear my workbench again.
Did caretaking,
And had a little chat with Mum.
Very tired this evening,
And realising we have a busy couple of weeks!
Better got of to bed,
And get some sleep.

Today has been a bit of a faff,
I don't feel like I have achieved much.
Did Mum's laundry,
And chatted with her for a bit.
I removed the plastic sheeting from our bedroom floor,
And vacuumed the carpet underneath.
I dismantled the front garden plant stand,
It was an old section of scaffold tower.
Had tea and cake outside,
Basking in the sun, with a book.
Wasted a lot of time pondering,
And trying to find a box for the winch relay.
Instead I found more of Dad's collections,
So that will need to go to the auctioneers.
Dismantled Sue's old notebook,
Removing the battery and hard drive.
Watched a few videos,
But tired now.
