Odumodu Blvck drags MI Abaga, feud in rap industry deepens

Key Points

  • Odumodu Blvck says MI Abaga protects an image and cares about public opinion. He says he does not.
  • He claims the veteran refused to condemn what he called a clear lie. He says that cost him all respect.
  • The posts arrived minutes apart on X on November 1 in Lagos. The clash heightens industry tension.

Rapper Odumodu Blvck (Tochukwu Ojogwu) has fired shots at MI Abaga (Jude Abaga). He accused the veteran of posing as a good man while backing a lie.

The Abuja-bred star made the claims in a string of X posts on Saturday, November 1, 2025, around 5:30 a.m. He warned that people would attack him for confronting MI because of the rapper’s long-built image.

In one post, Odumodu said the “whole world” would be shocked that he spoke to MI that way. He argued that the Chocolate City legend was “very good” at acting like the decent one, so fans would naturally defend him. He added that, unlike MI, he does not rate public opinion. Burna Boy freedom in Nigeria

What Odumodu Blvck posted

Odumodu followed up with a harsher post minutes later. He said MI “stood in front of a blatant lie” yet chose to “sit on the fence.” He declared that he had “lost every iota of respect” for the older rapper.

He then used unprintable words to describe MI and insisted he was not his “OG.” According to him, MI would likely not reply because “I am saying the truth.” The tone showed real anger, not a playful rap jab.

At the time of his posts, Odumodu did not explain the exact “lie” he was referring to. That silence has now pushed fans to guess the backstory. It also leaves space for MI to frame the issue first if he decides to answer.

Why the call-out matters

MI Abaga is widely seen as the bridge between older and newer Nigerian hip hop. So public disrespect from a buzzing act is always news. Odumodu knows this, which is why he said MI’s admirers would “come for” him once the tweets spread.

So far, MI has not publicly replied to the thread. Industry watchers will track his next move because silence can look like guilt to some fans. For others, silence is the mature way to defuse young-blood anger.

Odumodu’s decision to make it public also shows how fast private industry tension now spills online. Rappers increasingly fight for narrative control in real time. That battle for image is now part of the music economy. Davido gifts fans latest iPhone ahead of Enugu tour

If MI responds, the story shifts from a one-sided rant to a proper rap-level dispute. If he does not, Odumodu’s version may stand by default. Either way, the November 1 thread has already raised heat around both names.
