I think I'm over #nierauomata. too often I find myself having no idea what I'm supposed to be doing. I just got stuck in a ravine and I think it soft locked so I had to load my last save after a half hour.

the opening of the game really grabbed me and had so much promise. as pretty as the world is, I'm tired of fetch quests and aimless wandering.

I'll try #nierreplicant as well but I don't have high hopes. these discs might be going to the used game shop

I like the atmosphere of the game and themes of its story. Revenge, sacrifice, identity, bigotry.

A lot of the conflict in this game is caused by the two sides not understanding each other. Subsequent playthroughs recontextualize past events by allowing you to see and hear the other side's perspective.

I played Automata before, so I know it takes these themes even further, explicitly referencing many schools of philosophy. I still like Replicant for what it is.
