Questa è una delle suggestive, ma anche un po' inquietanti, foto che sono state scattate da Nick Brandt nel Lago Natron, che è spesso paragonato allo Stige, il fiume del lamento nella Divina Commedia di Dante. Gli animali, anche quelli in grado di volare, rimangono calcificati dal fatto che la temperatura del lago può arrivare fino ai 60°C con un pH tra 9 pH e 10.5 pH, insopportabile per tutte le forme di vita. Il nome del nome, infatti, deriva da "natron", che è un composto naturale la cui formula è carbonato…
