9Th CIRCUIT COURT
ENDS TPS, SUPPORTS DJT ETHNIC CLEANSING : DEPORTATIONS
T0 PROGEED FOR 60,000 LONG-
TERM RESIDENTS FROM NEPAL,
HONDURAS AND NICARAGUA

This wk, a three-judge panel on the #WestCoast's typically more liberal 9th Circuit U.S. #Court of Appeals explained they had to follow precedent and cleared path for #Drrumpf admin "to move forward with ending deportation protections for more than 60,000 migrants from #Nepal, as well as refuge seeking #Hondurans and #Nicaraguans," who had previously been granted Temporary Protected Status, but were no more entitled to it after #SCOTUS threw #Venezuelan #immigrants under a similar bus.

The panel declined to consider the harm their decision would inflict on TPS holders, and instead cited the U.S. Supreme Court’s prior shadow docket orders in the previous higher court case. The 9th circuit panel judges added "we have been admonished that the (higher) court's stay orders must inform" their decisions.

The ruling leaves thousands of immigrants who have lived in the U.S. for more than two decades at risk of detention and deportation.

In case you missed it, #DHS on Friday started actions rolling to revoke protections for over half a million #Cubans, #Haitians, #Nicaraguans and #Venezuelans. This sets the stage for all of them to be deported come 24 April when the revocation goes into effect.

To be clear, *none* of the people whose life this is about to upend came here illegally. The humanitarian parole program has been a long-standing tool that allowed presidents to quickly pull people from unsafe situations in other countries into the United States.

So, I really don't want to hear any more "Oh it's not racism they're just <insert excuse here>." Folks came here legally to escape violence and they're going to be deported because they're not white. Racism isn't a byproduct, it's the desired end result and 100% on brand for the #republicans and #trump.

"Donald Trump’s administration will revoke the temporary legal status of 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans in the United States, according to a Federal Register notice on Friday, in the latest expansion of his crackdown on immigration.

It will be effective on 24 April."
