I never thought I'd enjoy a film about football/soccer (generally not a fan), but I absolutely loved the sports documentary "Next Goal Wins". I saw the doc from 2014, and not the 2023 one, which does sound good, too, because it is directed by Taika Waititi. Anyway, the one from 2014 has all the original American Samoan team members, including Jaiyah Saelua, who was the first non-binary trans woman (fa’afafine) player in a FIFA World Cup qualifying game. As the coach says at one point, this team truly loves the game. That genuine love makes this film such a delight to watch. I did get something in my eye in the last part of the movie...
