I daily drive a #PinePhonePro with #PmOS + #Plasma6 and a #LineageOS phone. The main things holding me back from ditching the 'droid, are reasonable photography and a decent #email app.
#Geary is Gnome and... kind of works on smallish inboxes.
#Kmail isn't mobile optimized.
#MerkuroMail is promising but beta and can only read mail atm.
Personally, in #Plasma6 I make a webapp of #NextCloudMail. It's a bit slow, but it works.
How would you get an alert in Matrix whenever an email came in from a specific sender?
I'm using Yunohost to host Nextcloud (Mail) which has automated flows. I also have Thunderbird permanently running, which has filters. I'm just not sure how to get the alert in Matrix. 🤔 I also saw a Matrix email bot, but it looks like it hasn't been touched in 3 years.
I really need to get this figured out, so any ideas or boosts would be appreciated! ❤️
Just be aware that using #OSM / #OpenStreetMap instead of #Google #Maps, doesn't necessarily mean using openstreetmap.org There are many great mapping services built using OSM data, which may suit your needs better. For example #OrganicMaps ( @organicmaps ) is a fabulous #FOSS #Android app that uses OSM data to give a #GoogleMaps like experience on mobile (including #LinuxMobile !)
Oh, and if you host your email somewhere else, #NextcloudMail can be a very nice way to access it.

The new dashboard looks pretty cool but I'm way more curious for the improvements on Mail, Calendar and so on...
If some minor bugs got fixed in this release I will finally be able to replace formerly beloved #Thunderbird with #NextcloudMail 🙌
