Kinda rough Monday, and I think that calls for one more raucous wake up album. So, #NowPlaying is another cool recent find and another great album this year, 'Objects of Misfortune' by New York's TOP DOLLAR. This is some really well produced, tight hardcore punk. It's described here as Jerry's Kids meets Floorpunch, and that's fairly accurate. Sometimes I hear some MDC, even. Killer drums. Badass listen.

#NowPlaying for some wakeup music, a ripper of a record I somehow missed last year, 'Oh Dark Avenue' by New York's JACKED CHICKS. Kinda reminds me of Dan Vapid or his Methadones or maybe even Lillingtons or something. These songs are killer -- fast, catchy, short, satisfying.
