#Chernobyl shelter repairs: 'Difficult choices' lie ahead
The arch-shaped #NewSafeConfinement structure built over remains of Chernobyl's destroyed unit 4 suffered such extensive damage in a #drone strike in February that it may not be possible repair to it. It was designed to withstand temperatures ranging from -43°C to +45°C, a class-three tornado, and an earthquake with a magnitude of 6 on the Richter scale but it was not designed to withstand missile or drone strikes.
