Sometimes I wish I didn't have a job that required thinking so much. It just makes it so much harder when distracted. With a good simple physical labour job, you can usually allow muscle memory to do most of the work, allowing the mind to wander where it will (within reason - obviously safety must be considered).

Doing work that requires mental focus, problem solving, working through complex topics... Becomes exponentially more difficult when one's mind has been hijacked by the cyclone of feels and fantasies and memory-traps that swirl around during disruptive life events.

Having a day of feeling low and gray in my mind. 🩶But it is interesting what can break through that feeling and put a smile on my face, a warmth in my belly.

Haha, it's like in the gamecube game "Chibi-Robo", every time you do good deeds you get "hearts" and are told to "share the love". NRE is like that: you take that home to your family and share the love with your live in partner, and family. It's the best <3
