Kev Sherry Delivers Fun Self Deprecation

Kev Sherry, the Scottish indie-rock maestro and frontman of Attic Lights, is back with a pleasingly killer new single, "Everything A Mother Could Want." This track, with its infectious punchy opener, is a fresh tasting indie-pop standout from his upcoming album "Wrath Of Can" which should land in Spring next year. So, let's dig in: Drawing inspiration from indie legends like Margaret Glaspy, Kurt Vile, and MJ Lenderman, Kev Sherry delivers a track that's both thought-provoking and actually extremely catchy. The song dives deep into the social and cultural pressures we face, questioning whose expectations we're living up to—be it parents, authority figures, or friends. But also is a first person account of facepalm reminiscing! I mean, we can all relate to the foolishness and naivety of youth (unless you're 20 ish, in which case this will make you grimace/ laugh in about 20 years time.) The accompanying comic strip style video, like the track, is incredibly quirky and was created by Kev himself. (What an artistic all rounder!) and, like the lyrics, drips with humour, a waff of self deprecation and light-hearted sarcasm at the folly of youth. Sherry's reflective take on his time in the major label world of the music industry and his journey as an artist makes this single a must-listen. More than that, in the video Kev hints of stories untold .. (hmm... what's this? Some kind of gossip about about famous folk that could get Kev sued?... Intriguing!)
