Hello everyone! I received another knife in the mail, hopefully Melissa doesn't stab me with it. 😂 I am done buying for a while though as we do set annual budgets for all our hobbies. Our bees are also fully funded, we're making the final payment on the nucs Sunday.

This is a Sage 5 in Rex 121, a "grail" steel of mine. It has the highest edge retention you can get in a steel at 70-72 HRC. In normal EDC it can stay sharp for years.

Hello all, happy hump day! I might have mentioned before that I was waiting on a collaboration between Shawn Houston aka Big Brown Bear the custom knife maker and Spyderco for 18 months. The model I wanted has been in limbo for a while and comments made by Eric Glesser at a recent knife moved my hand. So instead of the Yojumbo I got the Military 2. It's in the 15v steel which is now out of production. The BBB is the makers logo on the blade.

Look what I found in my mailbox today! I've been waiting on this for a while. First impression are great, fit and finish are perfect and it's one of the sharpest factory grinds I've seen. Hair whittling sharp. This is a Kunwu Stiffy P with a satin DLC Vanadis 8 blade and textured purple G-10 scales. Vanadis 8 is a tool steel with extreme wear resistance and toughness manufactured by Bohler out of Germany and Sweden and rare in production knives.

A knife I ordered back on January 3rd is finally being delivered tomorrow. I saved $45 dollars on it through Chicago Knife Works but their processing times are brutal. It's a rare tool steel blade called Vanadis 8, with semi mirror DLC (diamond like carbon) finish. It's manufactured by Kunwu and the name is a bit provocative, the Stiffy P. 🫢There's also a "D" and "G" model.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
