This summer I was lucky enough to spend some time in Polesine.
It turned out to be an unexpectedly spectacular visual experience.
A constantly horizontal plain with the moving sun as a scorching point of reference: a vast plate of endless stretches of fields, canals, post-industrial machinery, reeds, churches, old noble agricultural estates either crumbling or overblown, and flocks of assorted birds guiding you all the way to the sea.
The majestic delta that comes to caress, with quiet vehemence, the monolithic Po Valley.

And in July, one constant: “Inumana Canicola Padana.”

So this electro-reflective, slow-burning album that captures precisely the labour, the strength, the malinconica grandeur of those landscapes really speaks to me.

A recommended reflective listen.
