He came through the procedure just fine and was recovered enough by this morning (Friday) that they discharged him shortly after noon.

The relief we all feel is indescribable.

This incident reaffirmed to me that no matter how I'm preparing myself, I am not ready to lose my dad. Every moment with him is especially precious & priceless. Always has been, but now more than ever.

Over the past two months:

• friend R diagnosed with Stage 4 #ClearCellCarcinoma; surgeon removed ALL reproductive organs, omentum, and I don't know what else; she had one chemo treatment and then had a "stroke-like event" a few days later; hasn't had 2nd treatment yet because of too-low platelets

• my dad is officially diagnosed with "early" (Stage 1?) #NeuroendocrineCancer: he has a tumor on the mesentery; 3 or 4 lymph nodes are affected so far; surgery & chemo not scheduled yet
