As per the ceasefire agreement, after today’s captives for prisoners release, the Israeli military is supposed to withdraw completely from the Netzarim Corridor and allow free movement back and forth between the southern and northern parts of the Gaza Strip.

The Netzarim Corridor has been controlled by the Israeli military since the beginning of the war, impeding movement from the south to the north.

Israeli soldiers in Gaza compete to see who can kill the most number of Palestinians

Israeli soldiers who fought in Gaza have told the Haaretz newspaper that the country’s military has designated the #NetzarimCorridor, which cuts the Strip in two, as a “kill zone”.

“The [Israeli army’s] spokesperson’s announcements about casualty numbers have turned this into a competition between units,” he said. “If Division 99 kills 150 [people], the next unit aims for 200.”
