"Silicon Valley venture capitalists are now quoting scripture—and Christian nationalists are now pitching network state cities. So you know things are getting bizarre. But here's the thing: It makes perfect sense because it's a strategy, and it's spelled out in black and white.

In his book, The Network State: How to Start a New Country, Balaji Srinivasan identifies evangelical Christians as followers of the so-called "Red God"—right-wing Republicans who will ally with his gray tribe of tech billionaires.

Together, they'll crush Democrats, democracy, and the nation state. It's a clinical, almost contemptuous framing of Christianity as a political weapon. But it works because both Christian nationalism and tech fascism share the same playbook: seize the pillars of democratic society and replace them with parallel alternatives, all run by authoritarian elites. The Christian nationalists call it the Seven Mountains mandate—taking over government, media, education, business, arts, family, and religion.

The tech authoritarians call it replacing the cathedral with parallel institutions. Different language, same goal: elite minority rule and the end of democracy as we know it. Today on the Nerd Reich podcast, we expose how this alliance actually works.

I'm joined by Matthew Boedy, author of the definitive book on the Seven Mountains mandate, who explains how figures like Charlie Kirk and other religious extremists have been systematically organizing this takeover.

"For proponents, the initiatives offer the opportunity to address all that they believe has caused a decline in American dynamism, from monetary policy to taxation. San Francisco, in particular, has for years been affected by high levels of homelessness and crime, prompting an exodus of tech workers during Covid.

“It’s young people being dissatisfied with stagnation, corruption and isolation,” says Amjad Masad, chief executive of AI coding company Replit, who has observed the rise of the network state movement. Last year, he moved Replit to Foster City — a master-planned city built in the 1960s on marshlands near Silicon Valley — to escape what he described as the “suffering on the streets” of San Francisco. “Young people are clearly yearning to discover new ways of living and building through technology,” he adds.

But the movement’s toughest critics — of whom there is no short supply — cast it as either a bid to play god or an attempt to avoid red tape, more opportunistic than idealistic. Others argue it is part of a broader rise in techno-fascism, or a form of authoritarian rule by technocrats. Either way, they assert, the movement is born from an elite victim complex.

Thiel, who has a net worth of $27bn and is one of the biggest funders of the space, gave a series of Manichaean lectures in recent weeks about the “Antichrist”. In between arguing that AI sceptics and Greta Thunberg were Satan, he complained that wealth gives the “illusion of power and autonomy but you have this sense it could be taken away at any moment”.

“Can you imagine being that rich and that miserable?” says Olivier Jutel, a lecturer at the University of Otago in New Zealand and an expert in cyberlibertarianism. “They think they are the grand solutionists that can fix all the problems, but it’s so insular. But just because it’s stupid doesn’t mean it won’t inherit the Earth.”"

In case you still haven't realized: Andrew Huberman is a fascist.

To understand that, you first need to understand Balaji Srinivasan and his idea of "network states".

Srinivasan is a most deranged, narcissistic, despicable scumbag fascist. Him being an ultracapitalist, he wants to create city-states where the law of existing states doesn't apply. Meaning, no taxes and no regulation. He wants to rule these cities as part of an authoritarian technocratic plutocratic class. (Plutocracy means that the rich have the power, rather than the people as in democracy.) He wants a new feudalism: If you think of the medieval age or Game of Thrones, he wants to be a lord, and regular people will have to be his serfs if they don't want to get beaten by the police which he bribes.

Lex Fridman had Srinivasan on his podcast a while ago, where Srinivasan yapped about his fascist ideas for 8 hours straight! That narcissist sure loves the sound of his own voice. Completely insufferable.

And Huberman commented under that episode, along the lines of, "What a great episode, so much insight! Learned so much."

Now Huberman is a speaker at one of Srinivasan's conferences promoting these fascist ideas, among other well-known fascists/ultracapitalists.

Huberman may have helped you reduce your alcohol intake, but he's a giant 🤬 and evidently a fascist. Only idiots continue to seek advice from such an agent of evil.
