Israeli government sources admit that Israel instigated the current war with Iran with "no clear plan for regime change".
I think the Israeli government started the war to **prevent** regime change. Netenyahu was due in court on corruption charges last week. The trial was originally slated for mid October 2023 but the October 8th attacks and the resulting ongoing genocide of the Palestinians kept pushing the trial date back.
Starting a new war was done in order to postpone Netenyahu's trial yet again. The new war keeps a rich, powerful, corrupt, war criminal and genocidal maniac out of jail for a little longer. No more, no less. Large numbers of people will be murdered because Netenyahu knows his time is running out fast.
The world would be a lot better place if people like Trump, Bush Jnr, Blair, Netenyahu, Putin, the Janjaweed / RSF guy in Sudan, Xi various religious and political leaders throughout the middle east and all the rest of the old men around the world who are clinging on to power to avoid facing justice for their terrible crimes had been jailed around 25 years ago. They were just getting started back then but they were all waging illegal wars, committing war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. The "international community" did nothing meaningful to stop them. Now their only aim is to not find themselves in the ICC and they will murder tens of thousands of people or more to stop them facing justice.
The same goes for all the members of the Epstein pedophile ring. There were plenty of opportunities to jail all of those people for the rest of their lives but law enforcement was persuaded to look the other way.
