Recent #NetJJ live on insta, and my gods the degree to which I was tempted to respond to people whining about how they want NetJames back, with a: "Wow, so you want James to fail at his dream? Yikes."
For context: James left acting to focus on being a (music) artist. Something he's said himself, is what he really wants to do.
The main reason I didn't do that was I didn't want to further fill chat up with that conversation.
I caught another of Net’s lives today, and while, yes there was more of the same wrt James mentions etc, I also want to talk about the good stuff.
Like Net having Chuchu, one of his cats on stream. And him talking about how he’s learning Mandarin. Also briefly demonstrating some of what he’s learned.
And that he’s got a project coming up, which might interest #TutorYim fans. (It’s currently in filming, I think? So it’ll be a bit before we see it.)
I was watching Net’s live and a lot of the chat was disheartening.
It seems like a bunch of people did not get the memo that James had left acting entirely to pursue art, and constantly either “@“ing James or asking where he was, or posting“netjames forever”. (The “when bed friend 2” poster was almost funny in context.)
Worse were the ones who obviously knew. They’d do all of the above with a bunch of 😭 and 🙏 added to the end. And tell Net to “get him back”.
