#nerdromance date went so well. We decided that last night was actually Date 2.5 (with breakfasts as mini-dates). Date laughed at my tales of not wanting to assume anything based on copious baking & very communicative body language ("oh!! perhaps he is just being nice!!!"). We set ground rules for communication & workplace stuff & are on the same page about what we want out of this.

*clutches coffee, a disaster of fleece and bedhead* Tonight is #nerdromance date night. But I'm starting my day with a little oatmeal-baking (granny smith apples, quick oats, maple syrup, cinnamon!) and participation in the racial justice FB group I'm part of, to help cool my nerves and distract me from the anticipation.

I'll probably add to that effort by lifting some weights and reading something good. Anyone have any recs for a distractingly good novella? :'D

#nerdromance update that I learned cute work crush is a complete nerd for Civ games, we spent >4 hours alone together this week, and I'm definitely buckling up to say "show me your cards / let's go watch cars save the world" at our next breakfast.
