Wild mint used to grow at the end of our creek, just before it poured into our lake. It may well still be there, but I haven't checked in many years.
I've also smelled it here driving past other creeks: seems to like moist soil and flowing water.

Today's storm is blowing just about straight in from the East with strong winds, soaking the front windows. This is unusual, but it's the second time this Spring.
When we we get high, gusty winds like this, I get a little antsy about the dead Ash trees in the woods out back. At least the wind is blowing the "right" direction, if something's going to come down — away from the house, and landing them parallel to the house, rather than on it. 🌬️ 😬
