☝️ It took just over three decades of no-consequences business with despots to get here — from the immediate post-Tiananmen massacre kowtow queues in Beijing to putin launching a full-scale war on Ukraine in attempt to take it all, or if that fails, to simply eradicate the nation.

And now the axis of despots are backing and cheering on their fellow terrorists' attack on Israel.

Fully building up that axis took many years, but the memo from the 'Free World' was sent and noted by the CCP in the autumn of 1989.

Due to greed and indifference of investors and industrialists from democracies (!) we ended up funding and empowering hostile despots instead of friendly developing democracies.

So here, in a (fairly large) nutshell, is why I say #democracy is non-negotiable.

I also happen to think that democracies have to protect each other. If democrats are divided, authoritarians can pick us off one by one.

For instance, #Russia has to lose the genocidal war it's waging in #Ukraine .

Any other result would encourage autocrats and very likely lead to more war in the future.
