When filling up, watching the numbers merrily accelerate upwards, just remember that part of the reason for this was to police where people go number 1 and 2 in public toilets and the genetalia of athletes.

The abuse of #trans people as the Raison d'être for #neofascism was forgotten almost exactly after the votes were in. Beyond grandiose proclamations and edicts it turns out that #trans people weren't even a scapegoat, just a rhetorical enemy to enrage the mob into the voting booths.

A different kind of protection that consists of public health, vaccination programs, food safety, clean air and water, social services, civil rights and the rule of law is also under attack."
