Hackney Wick Station
2018
Landolt+Brown.
A rebuilt station on the Overground (now Mildmay) line, originally opened in 1980 and operated by British Rail. The ticket hall connects to the platforms which are situated one level up on a railway viaduct. The interior is finished in board marked concrete and features a concrete relief wall with geometric shapes inspired by chemical molecules, a nod towards the area’s industrial history, designed by artist Wendy Hardie.
