On my new laptop I can't seem to open a new nemo window by clicking on the filemanager icon in the taskbar.
Instead it shows the "interesting" (?) information that two windows are already open. The only way to open another (third) window is to open one of the currently open windows select a directory and choose "open in new window".
This behaviour doesn't happen on my old laptop, Yes, same OS (Linux Mint 22.3) and same Desktop (cinnamon).
I wonder where the difference is between my laptops - except that the "new" one (from 2018 !) has the HWE kernel installed for whatever reason whatsoever plus updated (old laptop) vs. new installation (new laptop).
