Een enorme dataset met zinnen uit Nederlandse boeken en regels uit nieuwsartikelen van onder meer NU.nl, is door Stichting BREIN van het internet gehaald. De gegevens werden aangeboden met als doel om kunstmatige intelligentie (AI) te trainen, zonder toestemming van de auteurs. Dat is illegaal, zegt BREIN.

First read of the year: Confettiregen [confetti rain] by Splinter Chabot. I reserved the book over half a year ago at my local library and finally it was my turn! From what I've seen of the author's personality on TV I expected this to be a pretty light-hearted read, but he struggled much more with his sexuality than I had expected. Once again a good reminder that what you see on the outside isn't always what's happening on the inside.

A wonderful short story collection by one of my favourite Dutch writers Tonke Dragt. She mainly wrote fantasy and science fiction stories for children, but even as an adult I still highly enjoy many of her works. The illustrations and collages in this edition, all by the author herself, are a beautiful addition.
