I can still do almost everything just fine with my Late 2013 27" iMac, thanks to the (at the time) top-of-the-line model, and OpenCore Legacy Patcher, which allows me to use almost-current macOS versions with all security updates.

Even #Reaper with tons of plugins and DaVinci Resolve still work great.

Two points will make me upgrade in the near future, though:
* X-Plane 12 won't run, because it needs a more recent Metal version, which the hardware doesn't support, and
* #NeatVideo denoising takes ages, but it does such a marvellous job for low-light footage from my almost-as-old DSLR.

Waiting for a long running, CPU intense job to finish,
so I can run the optimizer for the new #NeatVideo 6.

I really, really like NeatVideo V5 and use it sind 5.5 years now.

Before that 4.5
…and 4
…back to V3 in 2013, when I was still using Final Cut on a Mac instead of Blackmagic Resolve on Windows.

This piece of software was always performing miracles.

So I guess 32GB of Ram was not enough for my MacBook Pro M1Max! Even in MacOS 13 Ventura (yep I updated) I run out of memory while using #CaptureOnePro or #FinalCutPro with #NeatVideo NR for example …still a “Memory-Leak” / Memory Management issue or just not enough? 🤷🏼‍♂️😫
