I'm really sorry to hear about your dog. It's always hard when one loses a friend.
It's possible I may have met a couple of your spaniels. Does this sound familiar? I used to take my previous dog, #Neachdainn, for walks in the forest at Erracht. At the start of the walk we would be greeted by two spaniels, who, presumably, came through a gap in the fence. One was female, the other male, I think. The female would come to say hello. The male would glower slightly from a distance. 😃
Friends commissioned a painting of the late Neachdainn, and gave it to my ex. I think the painting looks great, and it really captures Neachdainn's look. Sitting on tree stumps, and the like, was something he often did, as can be seen in the photo.
The passing of #Neachdainn has made me redouble my efforts to maximise the quality time I spend with #Gruoch. Dogs have such a short lifespan, and one never knows when something may happen.

#Neachdainn looks entirely normal in the the photos attached to my previous post. That was far from the case.
We are both completely heartbroken. Everyone's dog is special. We just think Neachdainn was extra special.

It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that my precious wee boy, #Neachdainn, is no longer with us. What we thought initially was a simple complaint, turned out to be much more serious. Amongst other things, he had a tumor next to his brain. It is probable he was in great pain. He was put to sleep.
I'd like to thank my ex for looking him for the past 4.5 years, nursing him for the last few weeks, and making the painful decision.

He has been a little unwell recently. He had a swollen nostril, which was probably an allergic reaction to *something*. He is much better now.

I taught #Neachdainn a cue called hop-on-top. This would get him to jump on top of things, for which he would get a treat. He is very food motivated.
Talking of #Neachdainn, I've also re-created his galleries on the website (the tech for this was described, in detail, yesterday).
