Continua incessante il tentativo della Sinistra di trasformare il Referendum in una lotta per la democrazia. Nonostante l'affluenza record che invece segna una grande espressione liberale del paese. A fronte degli ultimi dati sui voti, che su 41.068 sezioni scrutinate a fronte delle 61.533 segna il Sì 45,69% e il No 54,31%, il presidente del "Comitato Società Civile per il No" Giovanni Bachelet si è detto "contento per la vittoria" paragonandola a "quella partigiana".
Un parallelismo che sminuisce l'importanza storica della lotta di liberazione dell'Italia dal nazifascismo e che rappresenta al meglio l'opposizione ideologica fuori dal merito della riforma che ha accompagnato finora la campagna del Referendum.
