The European Athletics Association plans to refrain from returning Russians and Belarusians to tournaments.
The Council of European Athletics noted that the ban on performances by athletes from the two countries should remain in effect until the end of the war in Ukraine.
"European Athletics continues to strongly support the position set out in a statement dated 1 March 2022 that all athletes, support staff, and other officials from Russia and Belarus will be removed from participating in any European Athletics events for the foreseeable future from this moment."
