My desire to take photos erupted after a long week at work. On my way across town, I saw silver moss growing on a concrete wall, and I realized that I knew this species only as a resident of the cracks between paving stones. Here, however, it formed patches of growth, with stems protruding from it bearing reproductive sacs. It is very small and low, and its color really resembles silver.

Nature can be found even in cities, though it is often inconspicuous and hidden. We associate ferns with forests, moisture, and shade. But this miniature fern, Asplenium ruta-muraria, commonly grows in the city where I live, in the cracks of stone walls. It doesn't mind dry conditions. It is actually almost everywhere, just very inconspicuous.

Portulaca oleracea, probably. A very variable succulent, here as a tiny one in the crevices of granite paving. It can be quite large and is edible, even tasty.
