Heute hab ich eine gegürtete #Wespenbiene (Nomada succincta) auf einem Blatt #Zitronenmelisse (Melissa officinalis) anzubieten. Kleine Fieslinge, die parasitisch von Sandbienen leben.

One of spring's first little gems is quietly blooming in my garden — spotted dead-nettle (Lamium maculatum). Despite its name, this plant doesn't sting at all! The silvery white stripe running along each leaf makes it easy to recognise, even before the delicate pink flowers appear. It spreads low across the ground and is one of the earliest nectar sources for bumblebees emerging in spring. 🐝 A true wildflower worth keeping.

Een van de eerste kleine lenteparels bloeit stilletjes in mijn tuin — gevlekte dovenetel (Lamium maculatum). Ondanks de naam brandt deze plant helemaal niet! De zilverkleurige streep langs elk blad maakt hem makkelijk herkenbaar, zelfs voor de roze bloempjes verschijnen. Hij spreidt zich laag over de grond en is een van de vroegste nectarbronnen voor hommels die in het voorjaar wakker worden. 🐝 Een echte wilde plant om te koesteren.
