More of my #etching of the #NationalMiningMuseum #Scotland. I've lifted the sugar to leave the silhouette of the winding gear. Then I put down a rosin #aquatint. I've given the stopped out areas of the plate a coat with a Posca pen as I've found that the particles of aquatint can affect the stop causing tiny holes to appear. I've also used resist pen and wax on the cables and some for the structure of the tower so these should come out a bit lighter. Next step etching.

Working on a new #etching of the #NationalMiningMuseum Scotland (previously the Lady Victoria Colliery) very close to where I live.
I have done a line etching on the brass plate and am now drawing in the silhouette of the winding gear with coloured sugar solution to do a #SugarLift. Next, I'll paint the whole plate with stop and then put it in hot water so that the sugar-painted areas lift off and hopefully leave bare metal to be aquatinted and etched.
