#JesusChrist is a work of fiction, but a well-written one. We should aspire to act like them in the same way we are inspired by #LukeSkywalker or #Superman. AND acknowledge they are not authorities just guides to being a good person.
On this #NationalDayOfPrayer, I’ll say my parents raised me as a Presbyterian. I first began to doubt Christian beliefs one afternoon when I was 10. By the time I left high school, I had no belief left. I haven’t looked back.
Which isn’t to say I didn’t have irrational beliefs later in life unrelated to religion, and for which I feel nothing but shame. Hopefully I’ve left them *all* behind.
