George π¦π² π₯Ύ βοΈπ πOk, so I celebrated National Bike Day, not by tripping (you should look up National Bike day and see about LSD), but by taking a spill going downhill at 25mph in commuter traffic going 35 so they could get to the next light. Bike caught uneven pavement while we were in a slight left turn, so it literally jumped to the right, out from under me, leaving me to bang and then slide thru the street whilst cars behind me slammed on their brakes. SO Glad that I was wearing long pants. Came away with big abrasion on my knee, slight elbow bruise, sore foot embarrassed ego. Bike has bent brake handle and not another scratch on it. #biking #cycling #BikeAccident #NationalBikeDay #LSD

κ±°μ ππΎToday is #NationalBikeDay in the Philippines, and I joined a planned 50km loop that traverses several cities in #MetroManila.
Unfortunately, I had to cut it short at 43 km because I lost a bolt for my front brakes, and I was pretty close to my favorite bike shop.
Was glad the break didn't get caught between the spokes and not going downhill or I could've caused an accident, since I was riding in the middle of a group.
Evelynπ²θηΎθ―πLast Sunday's stash. π They gave away #EuropeanUnion #facemasks, orange reflective safety vests for riders, and reflective safety triangles for attaching to the back of the #bike. I was given a pink triangle. Later i saw that they also had purple. I would've preferred the purple.

Rain started pouring after the ribbon-cutting of the bike rack donations (German & Dutch sponsors, i think) -- which was supposedly when they start doing the #bike clinic. π΄
It's been raining some 40 minutes now. I guess I'm not doing any #biking today.
