Decades of battles for women’s rights and against theocracy have put the activist in the sights of the regime, who, in addition to a long series of arrests, also subjected her to a lack of timely and appropriate care. Narges Mohammadi, Prix Nobel de la paix iranienne, hospitalisée après une « détérioration catastrophique » de sa santé en prison

La militante des droits humains iranienne de 54 ans avait été arrêtée le 12 décembre 2025 dans la ville de Machhad, dans le nord-est du pays. Plusieurs fois emprisonnée, Narges Mohammadi a une santé fragile.

Elle s’était évanouie à deux reprises dans la prison de Zandjan, dans le nord-ouest de l’Iran. Son admission à l’hôpital en unité de soins cardiaques intervient « après cent quarante jours de négligence médicale ».
